Educational Workshops

Are you a student or young ecologist seeking to learn more about plant identification or other techniques to enhance your course or employment skills, a property owner interested in habitat revegetation/regeneration, a person employed in weed control wanting to improve weed and native plant identification skills, or a bushwalker keen to learn more about the native plants and animals and the habitats around them??

Greenloaning Biostudies is introducing a series of reasonably priced workshops designed to suit various levels of knowledge and background (student and pensioner discounts available). These workshops will be aimed at developing skills to suit your needs, either as a young professional or to complement your current activities or interests.

Workshops initially will be a half-day in duration and comprise indoor presentations and practical lab work, with follow-up practical field workshops also planned to be offered at a later date. Subjects covered include:

1. Introduction to, and development of, technical skills required for basic plant identification.

2. Habitat classification for the Far North Coast – how to identify a habitat from key features and where to look for these habitats.

3. Micro-bats – survey techniques and identification.

4. Introduction to, and development of, technical skills required for basic plant identification.

Greenloaning Biostudies’ ecologists have a wealth of experience in undertaking field surveys across a wide range of taxa and we will be happy to tailor courses to meet the specific needs of a group or company.
