Company Director

Alison Martin has been director of Greenloaning Biostudies since 1996 and is committed to offering every client best practice environmental advice, based on sound scientific principles, legislative requirements and practical, achievable outcomes.

Alison has more than 40 years’ experience in small and large scale projects and multidisciplinary teamwork and has extensive experience in flora and fauna surveys, habitat assessments, project management and the preparation of professional reports and management plans.

She has been involved in numerous major projects requiring:

  • Extensive client and stakeholder liaison

  • Resolution of environmental issues and conflicts

  • Development and implementation of practical and effective management strategies.

Alison was at the forefront of developing comprehensive management protocols for threatened species for pre-clearing surveys and clearing supervision in the 1990s.  She has also been responsible for one of the largest target threatened small mammal trapping programmes in NSW and one of the largest microbat banding programmes in Qld.  She also has extensive experience in court appearances as an expert witness and in ensuring compliance with State and Commonwealth legislation.

Alison’s qualifications and training include:

  • Bachelor of Science – University of New England

  • Accredited Biodiversity Assessment Methods Assessor

  • WIRES Emergency Rescue

  • Licensed and Experienced Bat Bander
